As we bustle through each day, focusing on one task then quickly moving on to the next, we may sometimes lose sight of the bigger spiritual picture. When we feel overwhelmed with work or fearful of what tomorrow may bring, we may wonder where God is in the chaos of the day. But if we feel this way, doubting ourselves and our ability to make it through the day, we must take a breath and raise our eyes to look into His loving presence, seeing that we do not need to make it through the day alone, because His love will carry us. Pause and meditate only on the inspiring and revitalizing thought that He loves us more than life itself. If we spend time showering Him with praises, we feel the spiritual warmth of His tenderness, realizing that we have taken for granted this boundless and immeasurable love. Though our minds may not fully understand the perfection and depth of His love, we can only stand in awe and appreciation of an unmatched love so ever-present that we can walk through a day knowing that it is there but not ever truly appreciating it. If we lose confidence in ourselves and feel unsupported, we need only turn to the bright permeating rays of His love. Fear in us cannot exist when we focus only on His love, and we need not fear anything when we have the unfaltering love of our Father. At times, we see only the mistakes we make throughout the day, seeing ourselves as a failure in God’s eyes, not measuring up as Christians, and undeserving of this love. But to shy away in shame saddens our Father. Embrace His love unabashedly and love Him in return, because He boldly first loved us, with all our imperfections, without hesitation or reservation. He sacrificed beloved life so that we could approach Him and live in His glory forever. When we have such limitless love showered on us every day in all that we do, we can go forth confidently will all assurance, knowing that He abides in us. We walk through life, all fear cast out, as a testament to Christ, and confident in His love and His salvation today and every day to judgement day.
